Are they small ants or carpenter ants? The latter come from the walls or rotten wood outside - I had that issue. You have to call professional to find the nest and exterminate it... it is the only way.

I had carpenter ants come from a rotter tree stump in the yard, had to have a very stern conversation with my landlord telling them to address the issue and that I will not tolerate it. Once the stump was removed the bugs very gone.

I have read the you can leave in the room a small dish with apple cider vinegar that will attract all the bugs.

Also they have some sticky bugs traps like this https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Shot-MaxAttrax-Bait2-HG-2048/dp/B00HH8HHOU that you can try... Try to determine where the ants are coming from and put the traps there out of bunny's reach like in places that are to narrow for her to go into if she is roaming (I had mine under cabinets and stove for example).

Also found some idea in this thread https://www.binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/55477/Default.aspx

Interesting comment I also saw:

"You could set a trap for them, ants communicate using chemical trails. The trails can be destroyed with acidic solutions like vinegar. Don't leave food out or crumbs on the kitchen sides /floor.

When we get ants I kill a few and wait for the other ants to discover them, then they send a message back to the others that my floor isn't a safe place to be. You can watch them following the same trails so they soon learn to find a different route."

Not that I can find in an old copy of the ResLife Handbook. If your roommate gets pissed that you're spraying stuff then you'd have a problem, but there isn't a direct clause that says you can't spray (assuming its like Walmart stuff not like industrial ant repellant lol). You can try ant traps too.
