I found it on Amazon for $50. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B002NJUJ6G/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1416925781&sr=8-1&keywords=J9449A&condition=used
Good idea in general, but in this case you'd do much better with a good switch.
Since you sound clueful, you should go for a managed switch with VLAN support, like

Notice that 1800-8g is to be avoided, you need 1810-8g.
I've been using SOHO gear at home for a while now for the same reasons. Here is the gear that I use at home:
Firewall/Router: http://store.netgate.com/ALIX6F2-Kit-Red-Unassembled-P346C82.aspx (Running pfSense)
Switch: http://www.amazon.com/HP-J9449A-ABA-Procurve-1810G-8/dp/B002NJUJ6G
Wireless: http://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-UniFi-Enterprise-System-Range/dp/B005H4CDF4
I couldn't go back to using a consumer router/switch/wireless at this point.
I'm looking at the HP Procurve 1810G-8 for use in a quiet/fanless room. It also has the ability to be powered by POE.
