Here's an Amazon link with a bunch of reviews. Looks like it's pretty basic and just adds black bars to the sides. Like they said, gets the job done for the price but nothing too impressive. Also looks like it has some limitations on compatibility (no PAL, some audio issues) and it needs an additional power connection you need to plan for.

>owning doesn't mean forever

Yes, it does.

>It means having the right to use something for as long as it works

No, it doesn't. That's not how ownership works. That's a concept known as "leasing." This is the same logic phone manufacturers tried to use to stop customers from fixing their own phones.

>try plugging your N64 on your HDTV see how amazing it is to own games forever.

I do have an N64 hooked up to my HDTV. Right next to my NES & SNES. You can get amazing looking results from old hardware on new TV sets. Here's literally the first result on Google.

>I wonder if "ownership" is a more important value in the United States than other parts of the world. It could explain a lot of things including why you can get shot on someone else property...

tf are you going on about? Now we're dealing with self-defense laws? Adios.

My opinion is pick up hyperkins hd cable it supports snes/n64/GameCube and boost it up to a 720p signal so much better than standard composite cables for $30

The absolute cheapest option for getting something other than snake oil is theCarby hdmi adapter for $75. There weren’t third party component cables for the Gamecube and at this point anyone who wants to make use of the digital out wants hdmi. Anything that doesn't use the digital output is just upscaling the 480i signal from the MULTIOUT port, so it's kind of a last resort to getting "better" image output, this is about as much as you'd want to spend.

This one outputs to HDMI.
