I've been using my Jaybird x3 for a little over a year now and love them. I've never had a problem with them slipping or falling out. They have nice in-ear components to get a solid grip, and you can adjust the band length to keep things tight and prevent swinging (this part is a pain to do, but worth it).

I've also heard good things about trekz, and have wanted to try them out.

Jaybird X3

wait for a sale and grab them for 100. got mine for chirstmas and theye were 80.

i highly advise you dont cheap out on these as it will ruin your experience with bluetooth headphones/earbuds. (bad connectivity/static/hissing/poor sound quality)

u/Bambi726 · 5 pointsr/xxfitness

Jaybirds. I use the X2, but I think the newest version is the X3. I've had them for over a year and absolutely love them. They stay in my ears really well. I've used them for pole dance where I'm spinning and flipping upside down with no issues. Plus the range is really long.

Edit: link to amazon

u/EinTheVariance · 5 pointsr/headphones

so you should've bought that then...even going to the amazon page for the item (https://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-X3-Sport-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B01M7NCT5O), they make no claim about sound quality or include specs about its sonical performance. It's clearly not marketed to someone who cares about audio quality.

In contrast, the most recent IEM I bought, which is a Monoprice Triple driver, although has a terrible name and some juvenile logo/advertising, includes information regarding the driver, specs about its sonical performance, and even a frequency graph:

What is your budget? I have the Jaybird X3 and absolutely love them. They were my third pair after trying a couple of other brands and the sound is incomparable. I think at the $100 level they are some of the best you can get.

If you’re serious about headbanging Jaybird X3 are the way to go, any over-ear headphone that clamps tight enough to not come off while moving around like that is likely going to be uncomfortable as fuck :)

u/3hrd · 3 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

thoughts on these? Jaybird X3 Historic low on camel. same price on Best buy as well

To add: They are currently on sale on Amazon and you can price match at Best Buy

Jaybird X3

Great fit, sound and battery life. Equalizer app for adjusting sound levels is appreciated. Lacking W1 chip so range and pairing not as good as others. I personally like the cord so I can hang them around my neck when not in use.

They've been on the market for over a year, which is ancient by tech product standards, but the follow-on model (X4?) is nowhere in sight and being a little long in the tooth you can typically find them on sale at BestBuy or Amazon typically for $80-$100 (MSRP $130). I actually lost a pair recently and after much deliberating decided to re-buy the same model.

u/dirtvoyles · 2 pointsr/razerphone

I picked up Jaybird X3 on clearance at Target. They put out pretty good isolated sound in my opinion, but I'm no audiophile. They hold a connection much better than the Beats I had previously. I have used them for over an hour at a time while mowing the yard and they still had at least 20% left.

I am going to assume a wireless priority because cable gets in the way during workouts in my personal experience. Considering the sporty application, you'll want a pair of IEMs. As far as the bluetooth IEM market goes, active noise cancellation usually comes at a higher price point and are mostly found on TWS pieces. Most bluetooth IEM use passive noise cancellation and that is sufficient enough in my opinion. I have tried active noise cancellation on sporty wireless IEM (Case in point Jabra Elite Sport) and the results is rather eerie because the active noise cancellation is so good I end up being able to hear my own panting/heartbeat with no ambient noise. The recommendation I would give would be either the Bose Soundsport, Jabra's Coach series, Jaybird's X3, or Jaybird's freedom. The bose one sounds best imo if you don't mind the bulkier earpiece and extra weight. If you don't care much for the V-sound model, the other 3 on the list are all pretty neutral. The best part is that they are all under $150 USD.

Jabra also has the Pulse, which is similar to the Bose soundsport pulse if heart monitor and a fitness app is important to you.

If you are looking for a truly wireless sporty in ear headphone I would recommend Jabra's Sport Elite, but do be aware that like most other TWS they have a short battery life. From my personal experience the UI on the earpiece is a bit hard to use but you do get used to it eventually. The reason I recommend them is because they are the most secure in my ears during workouts, as compared to other TWS such as erato's apollo 7 (which does sound better imo). It's unfortunate apollo 7s fall out easily :(

Jaybird X3s seem very popular on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7NCT5O

My GF just found a pair of Plantronic fit and we cleaned them up and the controls are very nice.

EDIT: I have a pair of Kanoas on order and I'm hoping they are all the hype.

Shure SE215 BT1

Jaybird X3

Admittedly, I have the Jaybird Bluebuds X, not the X3 - we're at 4 years now, and they still sound great and last 4 hours on a charge. The left ear always fell out... until I got Comply tips. Now they're perfect.

That said, I have very small ear canals, so Shure headphones are ALWAYS more comfortable for me than others, like the Jaybird, that have a large-ish nozzle. My SE215s are wired, but I've heard great things about the bluetooth model... and am about to purchase it myself.

I just picked up these Jaybird X3's on amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7NCT5O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_sFTjQmBwBixiE based on a r/bifl recommendation... first trip to the gym today, and they are great. A bit quiet. Also hurt my ears a bit, but they stay in so I don't mind too much.

Heres a link to the LG Tone Active Stereo Bluetooth Headset - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KIPIZSK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Jb8VAb9332VHC (right now theyre $60 instead of $117)
Ive been using a pair of these for almost 3 years now. The active sits firmer around your neck, so its been great for the gym and such. If you want a looser fit just go on amazon and search "lg tone" or go to their website to get the full run down on the differences, then buy them on amazon. Theyre good middle of the road headsets, but naturally what you pay for is what you get. They have higher quality models that sound good for iems. Through personal expierience there hasnt been a single second of lag on these babies when im watching or listening to anything. They also have an app that allows texts and such to be read out to you while your phone is in your pocket. Theyre a pretty solid pick.

If you arent into the neckband thing (i thought it was odd at first but grew to love it because its easier to just retract the buds but still be able to feel that you have the headphones) Another option with good marks is the Jaybird x3 for about $130 Jaybird X3 In-Ear Wireless Bluetooth Sports Headphones – Sweat-Proof – Universal Fit – 8 Hours Battery Life – Blackout https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7NCT5O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_wo8VAb2M4Q7PT
My dad has a set of these and enjoys them.. mostly. Its easier to lose because the headphone wire is all that connects them. Also my dad had a pair of x2's die rather quickly. The customer service reps were nice but they went on to send him the wrong replacements twice. As a sorry though, they sent him a pair of the updated x3's for free so take that as you will.

There's nothing wrong with the Beats you picked, especially if you're looking for wireless headphones. However, in terms of sound quality, Beats in general are overpriced for what you get. Nothing wrong with them though. This is what I use when I'm gaming or watching movies: https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-598-Over-Ear-Headphones/dp/B0126HISOO

u/catsRawesome123 · 1 pointr/headphones

Oh I was wondering what so special about the "pulse" thanks! I don't care at all about heartrate monitor.
Ahh I can't decide! The Jaybird is 20% off essentially today only because of prime day. However looking at the price itself it's only a $34 difference between Bose and Jaybird so I'm torn between the 2 since I don't care much for that difference. I don't care about bass but perhaps I might be interested in fuller audio
Bose Soundsport or Jaybird ahhh I can't decide!!!!!
Which one should I go with? I'm having trouble deciding :(

Type: Wireless in-ear

Budget: around $100

Source: Nintendo switch (via bluetooth adapter), PC, phone

Requirements for Isolation: it would be nice but not critical

Will you be using these Headphones in Public: yes, public transportation and such.

Preferred tonal balance: balanced, a little bit of bass wouldn't hurt.

Past headphones: in-ear cheap skull candy wired did the job

I've been looking over a few options and i've stumbled upon these:

$37 SENSO Bluetooth Headphones - great reviews

$130 Jaybird X3 - recommended by a friend, quite pricey

$80 ADV Sound Model 3 - hardly any info online though

I'd love to hear your opinions and other recommendations :)

Thanks!

u/nhasian · 1 pointr/headphones

Correct. Now they are on the 3rd gen models: Jaybird X3 Sport They usually go on sale for $99.

u/gonzap50 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

If you are looking for bluetooth, then yes, there are some good options out there. I love my Jaybird X3's and I would love to get a pair of Blue Satellites, but they are a bit over priced imo.

If you are talking wireless PC headsets, then the only ones worth their salt is the Steelseries H Wireless, it has a new name now, but I am too lazy to go and find it. I don't see the appeal of having your headphones die in the middle of a long gaming session. The H Wireless has a work around for that unlike other popular headset like Corsair's and Astro A50's.

u/krugo · 1 pointr/headphones

So, I'm hoping to pick up a pair of fairly premium workout bluetooth earbuds. (USA)

This is fairly targeted, but wondering if it's a good deal - I've previously had jaybirds and think they're ok, but not sure if I should hold out for the Bose ones maybe? Not sure if they'll go on sale though!

It's 20% back for amazon card holders (instead of the regular 5%), and the Jaybird X3 is right at $100, which would go down to $80 with the 20% back. Link below for all the 20% back items that are currently listed, as well as the headphone. According to CamelCamelCamel, these haven't gone below $99.99 before.

Feedback appreciated!

I was very ant-wireless headphones, then I got a pair of jaybird x-3's, can't go back now. They cost a lot, but the protocol implementation is excellent, connects to up to two devices straight away when booted, like instantly. Gets 8 hours playback for 30 minutes charging. I'm converted. No going back for me.

u/GenghisKha1206 · 1 pointr/audio

Thanks. I have no Apple devices so I would not be able to use the AirPods. Do you know of any good ear buds? These ones https://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-Wireless-Bluetooth-Sports-Headphones/dp/B01M7NCT5O/ref=pd_ybh_a_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HZNDP0W3WF476N1BKSF7 look pretty solid.

Budget ~150-200$

Source - Pixel 2 / Macbook Pro

Requirements for Isolation - Some. Not a huge priority, but nice to have for public transit.

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Yes

Preferred Type of Headphone - IEMS or portable over-ear. Possibly bluetooth if there are good options.

Past headphones - MEE audio M6 PRO Liked the sound quality, but they didn’t fit very nicely in my ears, despite trying all of the tips that came with the box.

Brainwavz Delta Black IEM
Again, liked the sound quality, but the buds themselves seemed to be too fat to fit into my ears, even with trying all the tips they gave me.

[Panasonic RP-TCM125-K] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4LGVUO/ref=psdc_172541_t1_B00L2459ZO) Really liked the fit for these. If possible I’d love to find something similar to these in fit, but perhaps a higher quality build or sound quality.

https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-598-Cs-Headphone/dp/B01JP436TS Also really like these, but I’ve found that they are too bulky for general portable use.

Preferred Music - Wide range. A lot of quiet female vocalist indie music, as well as a lot of fast and loud ska/punk music. I also listen to a fair amount of spoken audio, such as podcasts and audiobooks. I listen to hip-hop as well, but not as much as the above.

What would you like to improve - As stated in the past headphones section, I am looking to improve the fit of the IEMs that I get. The panasonic ones fit so well compared to the other IEMs I’ve had in the past, so I am looking to get something with a similar fit, but with a better sound stage. Also, I’m looking to try Bluetooth IEMs if anything comes to mind with these requirements, but if not, regular IEMs / over-ears are fine for me.

____

I’ve been eying these: https://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-Bluetooth-Headset-iPhone-Android/dp/B01M7NCT5O and these: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Bluetooth-Headphones-Controller-RP-HJE120B-W/dp/B071R6VX9Q for bluetooth iem options, but as far as I can tell the reviews for them do not seem completely stellar.

I was also looking into ATH-M40Xs as a portable over ear option, but I’m not sure if I want to sacrifice having a microphone on my main pair of portable headphones.

Budget - $150 - $200 CAD, $250 MAX

Source - I phone 5 SE and computer

Requirements for Isolation - Yes prefer Isolation. Using while traveling on bus, walking, at school (can get noisy sometimes). Using while studying

Preferred Type of Headphone - Over ear preferred unless IEM is very comfortable.

Preferred tonal balance - I like Bass but for studying it can get annoying, so balanced I suppose?

Past headphones - cheap OEM earbuds (Samsung, apple) and KZ Zs3

Preferred Music - Deep House, [Rap]

A little more than $100, but I have an older version of these and I love them. My SO has this updated version and also loves them. You can turn on and off, pause, play, skip songs forward or backward, and volume all from buttons on it. I have tiny ears so normal earbuds are difficult to keep in my ears but I have no problem with these. Comes with three different sizes of buds and the in-ear wing things.

u/zonedguy · 1 pointr/misophonia

I've found this combo completely isolates me from any external noises:

  1. Jaybird Bluebuds X Sport bluetooth headphones
  2. Comply Tx-500 tips
  3. "A Soft Murmur" app (iOS / Android / site)

The Bluebuds X Sports have great battery life, volume controls, and a microphone like most bluetooth headsets while the Comply tips dramatically reduce external noise.

For great ear plugs I use these Etymotics. I use them at concerts and when I was working in a Machinist Shop. You can get them on Amazon as well.

I have been using the Jaybird X3 earbuds for about 4 months now and am very please with the noise cancellation. They are an easier hit on the pocket than the Bose and sound pretty great.
