As an aside, I think I'm going to order some of this 30 AWG wire instead. The kind I got is just too thick/bulky. This 30 AWG wire should be fine, right?
Any appropriately sized wire should be sufficient. I've seen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006C4AGMU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_yYbrBb6ENTNE9 recommended, so any 30 AWG wire should work. You'll also probably want a soldering iron if you don't have one already, or borrow one from somewhere.
