I just got one of these Pro Mini clones on Amazon and it works great: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GLES8BW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

To be fair, it's sort of a pain to get code onto it, and you'll need a usb to ttl converter like this to program it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009T2ZR6W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But once you get it going, it's basically a tiny Arduino Uno. And they're under $5 with shipping! They do take about a month to ship from China though, so keep that in mind.

No. I don't even know what that could practically do, but it will not work for your purpose.

What you need is access to pin 1 on the mega because there is no easy way to split the signal once it was converted to USB. There you connect a UART to USB converter (also known as FTDI converter because this is a prominent chip manufacturer in this field) which you can the plug into your second pc.

A suitable adapter (random model and vendor) would be https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009T2ZR6W but any uart to usb will do.

I typed the answer 10mins after yours but forgot to send it. Sorry for being so late^^

Hi /r/multicopter,
I am having the worst time right now trying to flash MWOSD on my new Micro MinimOSD. Every time I try to upload anything, I get this error:

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

I have tried everything and looked everywhere. Yes I am using the right port and yes I am using the right board.

I am using Arduino 1.0.5 with this FTDI adapter and these drivers.

Can someone please help? Thank you in advance!

YAY! Having a mac makes this process 99999999 times easier.

Try this: https://www.amazon.com/KEDSUM-CP2102-Module-Download-Converter/dp/B009T2ZR6W

It's what I use.

Thanks for the info. Since I'm pretty inexperienced with this sort of thing, would you mind explaining newline and return characters? Is that just a programming protocol? So what does connecting the HC-06 directly accomplish that the Arduino can't do?

And I actually do have a USB to TTL dongle on the way. When it and the HC-06 didn't come together, being the impatient person I am, I was hoping to be able to use the Duemilanove. This is the one I bought.

Cheers.

Trying to buy the items and found this one on the list to be unavailable, so I'm replacing it with this one. Objections?
