I've never had any issues with the charging port even after more than 6 months of wear with swimming in both the ocean, pools, and taking it in the shower. If you get a new one it might be worth it to get a protector for your charging port - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H6X8L1Q I know you say it's clean but it can't hurt.
