They are port covers for iphone 5-6s. The pin disables the mic when its in the headphone jack and acts as a sim card remover.

So it's a bit silly. Does that honestly make it "the most retarded thing [you've] ever read"? People like to be unique. If I, I don't know, got a sweet phone charm and then a friend was like, "hey dude, that charm is sweet, imma get one of those," there would be a small moment of, "but it's mine." Not the most logical of thoughts, but it would be there.

It's the same thing with her cute pink phone cover.

And as far as useful comments go, hers was actually useful to the discussion at hand. The person mentioned by the OP may be similar to noddybaj, and so the way noddybaj reacted to the phone cover copying may be how the OP's friend reacts to the baby name.

Also, I'm terribly disappointed that your comment got so many upvotes.

That's fun and all, but it costs money to use and the concept of "house phones" is [unfortunately, I think] dead.

Instead, there are also ways to connect old POTS phones with Bluetooth: https://www.amazon.com/Cell2Jack-cellphone-phone-bluetooth-adapter/dp/B076H9QZ1T

u/ZimmZenoseth · 3 pointsr/doctorwho

I saw them on Amazon.com yesterday :) (Click through to see the keychain)

FUN FACT, the TARDIS key chain thingy I saw also doubles as something that can detect when your phone receives a call, and will start spinning :D

... unfortunately, my phone uses the wrong frequency so it wouldn't have worked for my phone, so I didn't buy it :(

... instead i bought a sonic screwdriver XD

I want to soak in a hot tub!

I need this! Because my phone is rubbish and no matter what the settings are, it will still fail to alert me to text messages and roughly 50% of phone calls, and missing phone calls is bad when waiting to hear back about jobs. I cry to think of what I've missed because of this stupid phone.

This is what I purchased. Last night it credited me with a total of 66 km - six candies for my Suicune.

So I have a different take than most. While I do love a good belt clip, if if have the light out and am actively using it, I love a decent lanyard. Plus I have small kids and on walks, a lanyard keeps my lights from hitting the ground. Just picked up a few of these (just been using the ones that came with my lights thus far) to replace a few of my less desirable lanyards, hoping they work out OK.

I think this wooden organizer would be super useful for all of my makeup.

If I win I would like these and they are only $2.11 so you can still gift some other folks. :)

Priv runs Android, so yes those are all things you can find apps for in the Google Play store. Great idea, by the way. I may have to get me some more NFC tags

I'm going to put my two weeks in at work today, I'm a little nervous. Thankfully I have another job lined up but still, wish me luck? :)

Ugh, that was such a terrible photo. I shoulda just used the picture on Amazon, not as authentic but at least it's crisp lol

This is the closest I know. But I think you can plug only one phone into it. No idea what to do if you have several phones in different rooms. (Edit: Manual says all home phones ring, so maybe it works...)

This is exactly what I do. I know it's not ideal, but I like my solution. I use this battery pack.

I keep it stored in the center console to protect it against the heat. There's a 12 V receptacle in there and a cutout to run cables, so it's the perfect location to keep it.

It does take quite a while to charge, but since I have to park in the sun anyway, I use this solar charger to take advantage of that. Nowadays the long charge time doesn't even cross my mind since the battery is always charged when I need it.

Lorises rock.

Here is a little cat that you can put in the earphone jack of your phone. It serves no purpose but to be a cat.

I keep a keyring of USB drives with Easy2Boot stuff, my Yubikeys, and a physical key for our DC door incase the badge does't work.

I did order 2 bags of these charm split ring things for attaching flash drives to my keyring easily

Saw this one that's heavy duty with a clear back: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGYY2J6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_mhvEAbDKZ3GV4.

Seems to have gotten decent reviews, but I don't have it myself, so can't testify to quality.

I've never had any issues with the charging port even after more than 6 months of wear with swimming in both the ocean, pools, and taking it in the shower. If you get a new one it might be worth it to get a protector for your charging port - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H6X8L1Q I know you say it's clean but it can't hurt.

Surely it wouldn't be that hard to create a cell phone sized faraday cage so you could leave your phone in your car while you protest?

Amazon sells one, no clue whether/how effective it is: http://www.amazon.com/FawkesBOX-Smart-phone-Faraday-Cage/dp/B00QQUQTV2

I'm a fan of Anker/Aukey branded stuff, never had a problem.

Pair this with a battery pack and it can be slowly storing energy ready to charge your phone when you need it.

I bought a cheap random brand (Holife) one on Amazon for no more than £20.

I only really use it at work but it gets the job done. I have it plugged into an iPad plug but I don't know if that makes it charge any faster. I've had it since the X's release last year and it's never given me an issue.

I actually think it's essential if you have a desk job. Get one where the phone is upright as then you can have it in front of you and just tap the screen and have it unlock rather than lean over it

edit: it's actually this one which I have

u/TIFUbyResponding · 0 pointsr/GalaxyS8

The iBlason Armorbox is also really nice, and I'm 99% sure iBlason and Supcase (who make the unicorn) are actually the same company.

I have both cases, and the Armorbox feels a LOT better to me. Just more ergonomic and sleek, while providing the same protection.
