Kingdom Builder
Base game is for 2 to 4 players and takes between 25 minutes and an hour depending on number of players.
It's an awesome game of place settlements on the board based on whichever terrain card you've drawn. Each game has three different win condition cards out of a possible thirteen and uses four of eight possible map tiles in a random arrangement which means there is a ton of replay-ability. There are also a number of expansions either out or in works.
Here's the Tabletop Episode to see it in action. They slightly mess up a minor rule, but the gist is there.

Kingdom Builder
I saw this on Amazon and liked the way the board looked. Didn't expect too much because it seemed really simple but might make a fun easy game or drinking game. Played it a few times and now I love it! You have to change your strategy so much depending on the scoring cards and the board. Plus when you start adding more players the game gets really intense.

My wife picked this up for me for Christmas and I liked the idea of it but didn't quite understand the game until I played it. We played it 2 player and had a blast, finally understood the game, then we played with a friend of ours. Didn't realize the point of the game was to trap the other opponents but the opponent to your right. So not only do I need to capture that person but I need to make sure the person to my left, who is going after me, isn't captured. It's a simple board with simple pieces but combining the different elements makes for a crazy board.
