Sure thing. It was surprisingly easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of blue-colored Jello

  • 1 packet of red-colored Jello

  • 2 small packets of Knox unflavored gelatin

  • 1 cup of clear, chilled alcohol

  • a 9x9 inch baking pan

  • a cookie sheet

  • parchment paper

  • a lot of patience :)

    Prep:

  1. Prepare red-colored Jello according to the instructions on the package. (Add the powdered contents to one cup of boiling hot water. Stir well. Then add one cup of very cold water.) Pour the final mixture into the bottom of your 9x9 inch pan. Set it for 3-4 hours in the fridge, or ~1 hours in the freezer.

  2. Once the first layer solidifies, prepare the middle layer. Add two packages of Knox unflavored gelatin to 1 cup of chilled alcohol. Stir well. Combine this solution with one cup of boiling hot water. It is important that you do it in this order, or else the gelatin will coagulate in the heat, and never separate!

One your mixture cools to room temperature, carefully pour it over the first layer of Jello. Return the pan to the refrigerator/freezer to set.

  3. Prepare the last package of blue-colored Jello as described in step (1). Once this mixture cools to room temp, pour it over the other two layers, and place it back in the fridge to firm up.

  4. When you think that all three layers have set, the fun can begin.

Cut some parchment paper to line the bottom of a cookie sheet. Flip the cookie sheet over, and place it over the 9x9 inch pan (so that the side with the parchment paper touches the rim of the pan). Turn both the cookie sheet AND the pan upside down. Your jello creation should pop right out! Your cookie sheet will catch it.

  5. Cut up the jiggling mass into small serving sizes (~1x1 inch). Arrange the individual squares neatly on the cookie sheet. The colors show up really well against the white parchment paper!

And there you have it - your very own dish of July 4th jigglers :)

If you prefer a stiffer pudding that isn't as runny, I recommend using plain gelatin instead of the fat-free pudding.

  1. Prepare plain gelatin as per instructions.
  2. Put heated gelatin mix in a blender.
  3. Add protein powder
  4. (optional) Add oatmeal and/or fruits
  5. Blend mix.
  6. Leave in refrigerator to set for 1-2 hours.
