Personally I just use these. I’m sure the Pros are great, but these are dirt cheap and small and plug into anything. And they block noise just like foam earplugs do.

The only ear buds I'll use any more.

The Koss "Plug" is a $10 alternative.

Get better earbuds that actually go deeper in your ear, even something cheap like these work. They work like earplugs at this point. Then listen to space/ambient music (very undistracting), sounds of rain (there are albums of rain sounds on spotify), or white noise.

I want to know what the difference is between https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00001P4XA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DVH265G/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 .

Im looking for earbuds to wear while skating and under my ear protection that i wear for work, and they both seem really low profile. However im not sure if either one of them will be better/more comfortable for long times, and im wondering if anybody here has experience with one/both.

I have given up on the music front. Whatever the reason, it just isn't my bag most of the time. I bring a pair of monitors with me (Westone's) and rock out in my own world. It's a bit anti-social but it is my trip. It's worth the $$$; if you want to maximize your bud $, you can pick up some Koss ear plug+buds that work OK and are pretty cheap ($13 USD): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00001P4XA

PS: If you see an American wearing glasses and a set of Westone monitors... say hi. I'm there (Amsterdam) at least once a month!

The difference is material...

These are made how he's specified, with earplug material instead of a rubber gasket.

They look kind of like the Koss plug in ear headphones. Looks like these are on sale, too.

Cheap & they work great.

These are great

I've worn them for years and they have good fidelity. Bass kicks good, however, you need to be hyper aware when riding with these because they block 80-90% of ambient sound. Better for backcountry or solo riding.

The only ear buds I ever found that produce a nice clean sound with strong bass is the Koss Plug.

I have tried a bunch of others and nothing comes close. Some have a little bass but are washed out on the top, others have nice high end but no bass.

Koss "The Plug" headphones are also a decent choice, don't sound fantastic but work great as semi-earplugs.

However, I eventually got tired of messing with the memory foam and went to the Sony MDR-EX35 "Bumpin Buds". They sound somewhat better than similar-price alternatives and the silicone holds up much better, although they don't provide as much noise isolation.

Other than getting a custom fit, I have tried just about every design of earbud. For years, I have happily been using Koss "The Plug" foam ear buds. It's a foam earplug, with a small hole for the audio.

All earbuds take a beating in the wind, and tugged on by a helmet. Bonus they are only $12. I usually order 4 pair, just to have back ups when lost or damaged. They stay in place well when putting a helmet on. I have also found to be the most secure, and wind muting without a helmet, too.

They do let me hear the audio the best, without other noise. Of course, check your state laws. California can only have audio in one ear. AZ it's ok in both. Some states, none.

My budget is 30$ and I want something with good sound quality that will last a long time and be extremely comfortable for long sessions. As someone who knows nothing about headphones I figured asking here was a good start. I also hate wires because the headphone gets tugged and misplaced by the wire getting yanked on so I have been looking at bluetooth headphones.
