Any of the rails that have the center cut out to allow use of the sights will be blocked by the cross-bolt on a mount.
That's true for the X-ring as well (you cannot see the sights with a scope or other optic installed).
To use that functionality, you need a QD mount for your optic, so that you can take the optic on and off quickly, and then be able to see through the rail.
Another option would be those super-high see through scope rings that they sell for old-timey hunting setups. You'd need to get taller sights on the barrel though, and they really suck to shoot because you're down to chin weld. Definitely a last-resort option that I do not recommend.
As for the TRS25: It's a cheap optic. I really don't get the circle-jerky nature of it on reddit. I've got one now (and owned a few over the years), along with the TRS35, a couple other red dots, and various scopes. Does it work? Yeah. Is it good? No. You're being smart by saving your money.
