supports 5ghz. Really solid phone. This is like cheaper version of galaxy note so it will be even more suitable for your dad with that stylus pen.

Supposedly they do it for a bunch of phones, they used to show you ads on the lockscreen, but people got tired of that, so apparently they decided to get rid of them and instead start harvesting user data.

Ok OP, I said I'd get you a recommend. Take a look at the LG Stylo 4 that is close to your budget at $180 and a better deal than the V20. Cons with the Stylo is ram size.
Also the Moto Z2 play I like too from swappa.com. Cons, battery life average. But I would not call it subpar. Really it might be the best pick for around $180.
You just are not going to find everything at this price level imho but we do look hard for it!

I had the Note 4 and the Note 5, and voice quality was more or less the same between the two. However even if voice quality was notably better in the Note 5 over the Note 4, I wouldn't recommend that you buy a phone that is over 3 years old unless you have no other option.
If you're on a budget and don't need all of the Samsung-specific features of the Note 5, something like the LG Stylo 4 might be a feasible option.
