I'm not sure how your father having seen probably sick behavior in his life that has made him more than wary is him objectifying you and calling you useless.
Assuming some guy attacks you and you or him "win" the fight, there's no real glory in being physically stronger or shame in being born with different strengths.
I don't think you're asking for too much, but nothing you said is making him feel any better. Parents don't live with themselves by spending hours wondering if you're still ok or not when you're away and taking no measures.
Every time your father noticed him he might've been looking at you since he liked you, hence your father singling him out among a group in the first place. Seeing a guy checking you out at random intervals of the day in different locations makes one suspicious. Guys don't look when you'd notice when they're not trying to approach you, but they don't care if bystanders do.
