Comfortable, loud enough and always clear.
Yeah get the Zalman. Its cheaper than most professional lapel mics and will attach to the cable of headphones. There is no point in getting anything fancy like wireless or usb I guess because a decent headset is $30-50. I personally have a headset for gaming and headphones for everything else. That headset is not bad actually...
Think I'm going to start using one for MW3.
The people who play on my favorite Black Ops S&D server keep swearing by them and saying how hearing footsteps and whatnot on headsets gives them a huge tactical advantage.
I have a decent Logitech USB headset I bought a while back for WoW and never used. Sound quality is good and it's fairly comfortable. Will post the model when I get home.
