So did I! It's a skin patch basically glued to my thumb and then the skin underneath was split open and bleeding. So it looks much more gnarly than it actually was. Just very painful.

It shouldnt hurt if you are not grabbing it tight. Else its the pitching problem.but dont worry about it man as long as your release is good. Pro uses tape and necessary equipment to help them bowl better with comfort too. Missy parkin uses glove because her finger always tear from intensive bowling.i use a glove that covers my thumb ,index and pinky too so that my thumb doesnt get abrasion.
