Use Doctor's exam table paper to make patterns.High quality white paper with a smooth finish.
Yes! I trace most of my patterns onto tracing paper, and then modify and cut out that. My pattern tissues get folded back up and put away, unharmed. I use Burda Style tissue paper which I buy locally, but a lot of people swear by Medical paper, Swedish tracing paper, or freezer paper, which you can buy at the grocery store.
I use medical paper--the kind you sit on when you go to the doctor's office 😊. It is really cheap on Amazon, you can crumple it up and then iron it out again, and it folds up just like a tissue paper pattern. I trace all my patterns so that I can keep the original with the multiple sizes (you never know!), and then occasionally will use interfacing in case it is a pattern I use a lot. In most cases, though, I just use the tracing paper. Enjoy your new pattern!
By newsprints are you referring to a general overall lightweight paper? I brought this a week ago: Medical Pattern Paper: 21" x 225' Single Roll of Patternmaking, Drafting, and Tracing Paper by Cardinal Health https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007AH74VO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Z0ZEzbWMQBTXK
Will it suffice? Why were you using printer paper?
I'm looking into stabilizers now. 505ing?
