I was just playing with my x5 last night to see how much it could lift. The max I successfully lifted, was a solo cup (~14 grams) strapped to my quad with 10 quarters (~56 grams). Which equals roughly 70 grams or 2.7 ounces.
With that said, if this thing truly weighs 3 ounces, you won't be able to even pick it off the ground.
I did just order some new motors for it from the micro motor warehouse and some triblade props and if you are interested I could get back to you with results.
If I were you and looking at something around the $50 range, I'd order the 808 key cam with the wide angle #16 lens which supposedly only weighs 17 grams.

This is just raw footage so I didn't have time to do anything to it. The quad struggles a bit with the additional weight, but as long as you are careful its ok.
I'm not that good at making videos, but I'm learning.
The clips with waviness are when I was using the stock camera.

Either way, it's overpriced, I've got some WL toys quads, they're okay to play around with. Either way look at BangGood and see if they have a better deal on it.
