The PC version is far superior. Not only can you play at 60+ FPS, but the game already has a remarkably active modding community. There are a bunch of awesome mods already out; new outfits, new weapons, graphical improvements, and gameplay modifiers.

There are ways to make your rig TV friendly. First, I recommend buying a wireless Xbox One controller as well as a PC remote (yes, PC remotes exist: https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Keyboard-Touchpad-Connection-Raspberry/dp/B01MSX306Z/ref=sr_1_3?crid=24EHCFXIQ0K9L&keywords=pc+remote+control&qid=1556655620&s=gateway&sprefix=pc+remote%2Caps%2C153&sr=8-3 ).

It basically turns your PC into a console. A must have, imo - I can't believe I went so long without one. The remote allows you to use your PC without hauling around a mouse and keyboard, and the controller works seamlessly with Windows 10.

Also, if you have cash to spare and aren't obsessed with cooling, switching to a mini-ITX case may be worth it. I recently switched to the Dan SFX-A4 case, which is as compact AND as light as a PS4 Pro. My rig is almost as convenient to use and move around as a console now. Expensive, sure, but worth it (for me). I used to build in huge cases, but they're so inconvenient.

I'd recommend selling your Xbox One and using that money to improve your PC. Microsoft will be releasing all Xbox exclusives on Windows 10 from this point forward; they're even porting the Master Chief Collection over this year. At this point, there's no real reason to own both an Xbox and a gaming rig.

I didn't think of presenter/htpc remotes. That might work. Something like this has the buttons I'm looking for. Great idea.

This one also seems cool.

It has a trackpad as well as air mouse support. I probably would have bought this one if they had it back when I bought mine.
