I use a 42" TV and a 27" monitor on This But it's not the best (it's a pain to adjust) so I plan on replacing it after I have some money for another couple monitors

I'm loving this stand.

Hey! So it appears there is a vesa mount, but it's slightly recessed where the standard Dell arm assembly clicks into place. I've attached a few images here that should let you see the setup a bit better.

Edit: I'm currently using this VESA mount stand on my monitor at work. If you're concerned about clearance, I could check it with the mount on my work monitor. Or I'm happy to measure the distance from the holes to the walls of the recession if you want to send me your mount dimensions.

Make sure it fits

Well if you want the monitors to match up in height when in portrait mode you'll want 22" monitors (or something very close).

39 = ((16x)^2 + (9x)^2)^1/2

x = 19.1205

21.9379 = ((19.1205)^2 + (19.1205*9/16)^2)^1/2

If you want it to be as cheap as possible I'd suggest two of these monitors with two of these stands.

I don’t know if this specific one is tall enough, but something like this should do you well. They just replace the stand that the monitor comes with, this ones $30 but they can get up to about $50.

I just searched “vesa stand”

I'm using one of these for my 2nd monitor. It's more stable than the shitty stand that came with my old Samsung panel so now I'm planning on replacing the Samsung stand with a shorter mount like this. Easy to put together but you do need two people to safely install. One to hold the screen while the other is under the desk clamping everything down but once it's tightened down properly its rock solid. I was surprised for how cheap/tall it is.

There are double/triple arms but I figured having two standalone ones would give me the most flexibility down the road. All, of, the, free, standing, ones, I could find look terrible and are expensive compared to the desk clamping arms.

Yes! This is an absolutely wonderful stand at a very reasonable price. Super sturdy (no wobble at all) and it makes the whole monitor look so much better. I can post pics if you want.

Lighting is the cable for iPhone's and iPads, you want thunderbolt as /u/remz07twos pointed out.

Portrait is a software setting, so you just want something that comes with a stand that can placed in that direction or is capable of bolting to a VESA stand like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005C29QN8/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687642&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00801CRIO&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=09YCAVTX0FXDNNQCXDN8

It has a 75x75 wall mount which is fine for this kind of thing: https://www.amazon.com/Mount-MI-757-Adjustable-Rotating-ViewSonic/dp/B005C29QN8

Thank you for the reply. I am little weary to mount something to the wall so I picked up this one.

u/Bar_Har · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

If your monitor has standard VESA monitor mount screw holes in the back you will have a whole universe of alternate stands to pick from.

What is a VESA mount?

If it supports VESA you can just get one of these.

DISCLAIMER: I know nothing about the product I just linked. There may be better / cheaper ones available.

Tilt the monitor to where you want it. If the stand that the monitor you have doesn't have that feature built in, get something like this mount instead.
