I really like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-G45LP-Street-Neckband-Headphones/dp/B0015AFVBC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377109381&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+wrap+around+headphones) kind of headphones that wrap around the back of your head, since they stay on a lot better while I run and they don't block incoming noise nearly as much as earbuds do. I just put my phone in the pocket of my shorts, but I run in longer basketball style shorts. With short running shorts you might want an armband or waist band. The person at my local running store, Fit Right NW, strongly recomended [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Nathan-Shadow-Runners-Pack-Black/dp/B002PDESD0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1377109794&sr=8-3&keywords=running+waist+pack) but I haven't tried it yet. And I'm with you, I love running with music for fast runs, and podcasts for long training runs.

Edit: And for the love of god, I wish people would just agree that some people like music while running, and some don't. Not everything needs to be a freaking competition to see who can convert more people to their side...

I rarely use my armband anymore, instead favoring my Nathan Shadow Pack. It's just less hassle than the arm band.

I carry my keys and wallet in the following since I sometimes have to drive to my destination:
