This works. Over the years, I caught stuff in FRLG, pal-park'd to a retail Pearl, traded to a flash-cart rips of retail Diamond and Platinum, pal-park'd to a flash cart rip of Black, and then recently (last week) transfered the raw save file from the emulated Black to the cart using the above linked device.

I had to finnegal finagle some of the pkemon that I caught in Gen3 to get them past pokebank, but so far, so good.

You can use something like this to rip the save from the DS cart, and then use the famous DQIX Save Editor to just add all the DLC to the save.

I dont believe so. But I think there may be some way to back up your file on your computer. For my WW I had a couple Cyclo DS cartriges with my other games on it, but I could always switch out WW on and off the cartridge with still having my save file.

My way wouldnt work because you cant take the SD out of the original Nintendo cartridge but it confirms its possible to save it onto a PC and switch out without losing save data. Look into a NDS Backup Adapter. It will cost you some money and be hard to find but now you can also have multiple saves or even put your old game on a better cartridge :)

I've never tried it personally, but seeing as WiFi isn't an option, my guess would be that you'd need an adapter that lets you transfer the files from your cart to the PC and then back again. I found the one linked below on Amazon, though reviews are mixed and say it can be finicky, so bear that in mind. There may be others with actual experience who can point you in a better direction :)
