I'll probably end up buying a $6.99 SmallRig cold shoe adapter and the $10 cold shoe mount that this guy recommends.
EDIT: one caution with this setup - I bought it and it was a little loose.
I could have fixed it by "thickening" the SSD with tape, but fortunately I had an old tripod with a mount for smaller phones.
So I put the SSD in the old mount and put the new mount (which fits my larger phone) on the old tripod - and it all worked out perfectly (as seen here, using the old BMPCC as a stand in for the BMPCC 4K ).
That said, I now recommend a smaller (iPhone 5 sized) mount with two 1/4-20 threads for $6.99.
This mount has a minimum size of 2.20", smaller than the 2.26" width of the T5.
Combined with a $6.25 Camvate cold shoe mount (blue, to match the T5) and a $4.79 set of cold shoe adapters, you can put together a solid mount for about $18.
