NetDot 3 Pack Gen5 Micro USB to Magnetic Micro USB Adapter Compatible with Android Devie (Micro USB Adapter/3 Pack Black)
NetDot d 5th generation magnetic adapter(charging cable not included), need to work with micro usb cable , strong magnet, both sides support 9v/2a usb2.0 fast charging while only one side supports data transfer for android device. Led light will turn on when power on.Perfectly compatible with most of android system with micro usb port, but Samsung S7 / S7 Edge / Tab S may not work by chance. The micro usb plug works for all NetDot 3rd generation cable but it is not compatible with NetDot 2nd generation cable or any other cable. It is a simple yet perfect solution to prevent frayed charging cables, tripping over cable resulting in smashed phones, pointless fiddling to plug in cable in the dark and more. While it is out of charging, the magnetic connector can be used as anti-dust plug.NetDot magnetic adapter is as small as a thin sugar cube, so it is easy to put in a purse or pocket, bring much more convenient for travelers and businessmen.

I bought these and they have been working great for me. I use Android auto every time I drive.

Some cheap chinese one from amazon. I bought a cable adapter, which goes on any microusb cable and 2 plugs, like the one in the mouse.

The plug is about 1g or under, iirc. It's insignificant.

EDIT pretty much something like this https://www.amazon.com/NetDot-Generation-Magnetic-Adapter-Compatible/dp/B076QBPYMV

that's just what I got, but there are lots of different brands.

and there's ones that do 2A and 3A charging that I like. one of my mods (swag) is 2A

edit like these convert existing cables

edit 2 like it's nice that it's modular. so you can have one cable but every vape has an adapter on it (I probably have six devices to charge, but only two cables)

Oof. That's exactly the reason why I bought some magnetic chargers adapters when I bought my new phone. The USB-C charger port on my previous phone went out after a year of use, and the phone before that, the micro USB port broke. I eventually got tired of the ports breaking on me and I bought these babies right here.

Possibly the best $10 I've ever spent.

Along the same subject, do these help with wear on the pro micros?

Looking to build an iris and I ordered sockets for the micros but if something like this would work it seems like it would be less wear on that port: https://www.amazon.com/NetDot-Generation-Magnetic-Adapter-Android/dp/B076QBPYMV

also,
To not risk any damage to the usb port maybe use the magnetic tips. This way you can use any wire and you are not constantly pulling the usb in and out of the port.
