You could get the Netgear r7800, I have it, I also use a custom firmware (by Voxel) for better bug fixes and stability. It offers all of the extra features you don’t find on the regular hub 3. Including the stability you’re looking for, as I’ve had no issues for a couple years with it.
Just not sure if it’s in the price range you’re looking for.

Netgear Nighthawk R7800 (X4S) user here using Virgin Media 200Mbps with their SuperHub 2ac in modem mode and very happy - got mine for around £130 and Amazon UK currently have them in new at £139.99 :)

I'm using a Virgin Hub 3.0
Switched to Ultrafast Business Broadband (pretty much just for gaming!)
And bought a Netgear Nighthawk
300+ MB/s download and Open NAT on multiple Xbox Ones.
