It's a rubber case on your phone, then another hard frame over that. It's really nice and has a stand and clip.
I am seconding this. I use it with a nillken glass protector and I have had no issues with it. I wish I would of paid 9 bux instead of 25 locally.

Been using an iBlason since I got it. Never dropped so I can't say how effective it is. Has a raised rubber lip around the edges which makes reaching the edge of the screen difficult at times but it's easy to grip I can set it face down on a surface and not have it slide around.
