They're plenty bright, but they don't really make great driving lights. It's hard to focus LEDs as well as a halogen beam, so they act more as flood lights. Gonna relocate my plate soon and throw some pencil beams in the center, so I have some good throw and also good flood on the sides and top.

I have been using these for awhile now and am happy with them, they have a flood version and a spot version so these would work great for the application you are wanting. There are a lot of variants of them out there, basically the ARB knock off. Good for what they are and the price you pay for them.
The two center hellas have been replaced by a led light bar. The two round leds are floods. Not as bright as I would like but on a dark beach or in the woods they’re good. The leds in the stock driving light location are spots. They’re great. I also have leds for the headlights.
