50 Reddit comments about Nintendo 3DS Game Card Case 24 - Black:

I have a Hori game case that holds 24 of 'em. Amazon page here, though it's also available in other colors (I have an entirely translucent one).

Good quality, should last a long time if used properly (don't just push the cartridge in from the top, slide it in pushing against the inner tab. It has a slight amount of give to it to prevent breakage).

I also have one of those same cheap Chinese ones and you're right - the tabs on those break easily.

u/newbatthis · 12 pointsr/3DS

That's... so weird. Just keep the cartridge. It has resale value. You never have to worry about being unable to play it.

I say just get a nice game case. I got this one from Amazon recently for my growing collection.

u/lsdlkjdsaf · 11 pointsr/3DS

I also own this game case, and it came with a plastic clip shaped like a DS game that fits an SD card specifically for this purpose. It's kind of useless to me since my SD card is always in my 3DS (The one in the picture is a spare), but it's convenient for this case because I only have 17 physical games (So far).

u/trippybrii · 9 pointsr/3DS

Totally recommend this case holds up to 24 cards, sd card slot is removable, and all of the games fit perfectly!

u/rarelypost · 6 pointsr/patientgamers

The 2DS is a 3DS model, so you can play 3DS games as well. If you are going to use an R4 card, you'll have to pay attention to firmware versions and what cards work with which ones.

I personally don't use an R4 card, I just grab a few DS or 3DS games every now and then when there's a good sale. It's not really worth the hassle for me, plus I like having access to the eShop.

You can also put all of your DS and 3DS games in a Hori case, which I found works really well.

u/Carole4815 · 4 pointsr/3DS

I got the Hori 3DS game card case on Amazon. It's $9.99. It has slots for 24 game cards (one of which is really for an SD card) and holds both 3DS and DS game cards. I can also fit a spare stylus in it although I'm not sure if there is a designated space for it or not. Anyway, this case seems OK to me. I have had others that broke but this one hasn't yet.

Hori 24 game case

Edit: Oops didn't see that you wanted a cloth case.

u/SeaShanties · 3 pointsr/3DS

I got the hard case so I can carry it in my purse without having to worry about scratches and it'll hold a few games, stylus, AR cards and cable cord. Only complaint I've seen on videos is there's like a 1/2" wiggle room side to side, but don't think it'll beat up too much in my purse, or can modify it with a little strip of sponge/cushion.

I also got a case for 24 games because I don't like sorting through each game box, and a lot of used stuff I got from Game Stop came in a paper sleeve.

I got an extra power cord so I don't have to keep unplugging it from room to room, but would definitely recommend a USB cable, I'm probably going to get one of those as well, but was sold out when I went looking last week.

I'm sure you can price shop - but that's what I picked up as a new 3DS XL owner!

Edit: OH!! Definitely get a top and bottom screen protector - I got the Invisible Shield or whatnot from Best Buy while I was there, I didn't want my pretty new screen scratched from all the tap tap tapping.

u/edzo004 · 3 pointsr/3DS

You need one of these

u/katieelizabethe · 3 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I have this one:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=twister_B004SLTGF2?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

There are cheaper variants, but I can't speak for how effective they are. This one holds cartridges very firm into place so they don't fall out ever, while still being easy to take out from the sides.

  • Birthday Shenanigans.

  • Joke: A guy meets a hooker in a bar. She says, "This is your lucky night. I’ve got a special game for you. I’ll do absolutely anything you want for $300, as long as you can say it in three words." The guy replies, "Hey, why not?" He pull his wallet out of his pocket, and one at a time lays three hundred-dollar bills on the bar, and says, slowly: "Paint…my…house."

Super happy birthday to you! I hope it's a great one.
u/Derko1 · 2 pointsr/3DS

Just a suggestion... I just recently bought this one. It holds the game tight and is pretty nice and compact. I do wish I would have gotten the case from clubnintendo, but don't have the coins for it either. It isn't available anywhere else. Haven't been able to find it on eBay either.

The only thing I am hoping, is that with it all being discontinued, they'll some how end up on their site for regular ordering.

u/chezkevin · 2 pointsr/pokemon

The preview images have a little plastic insert in the steelbook that has space for two of the cartridges. I'm betting it's just the steelbook without any other game case, but I could be wrong.

If you want to play it safe, you could get one of those cartridge cases: https://smile.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS

or get the games individually at $32 each. Or, give your friend the steelbook.

u/impatiensbloom · 2 pointsr/3DS

That case was based on this officially licensed case by Hori: http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451868386&sr=8-1&keywords=hori+3ds+game+case

I have both the original and the knock-off, and the original has all the cards rightside-up, and it has a removable clip for your sd card. The original is also considerably more durable, since my knock-off is on its last legs after a couple of desk-height falls.

u/dom_8 · 2 pointsr/3DS

You can get a 3DS case that can hold your games and system or you can look to get a game card holder

u/UrbanSunflower · 2 pointsr/3DS

Amazon carries it for the price listed on Hori's website! Here's the link.

u/Azarro · 2 pointsr/3DS

^Very good point; I wanted to mention this as well but forgot.

The Club Nintendo case is nice though I would recommend http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS if extra dollars can be spared. More compact!

u/cardshark1234 · 2 pointsr/3DS

I don't personally own it because I only have 2 loose cartridges, but I hear great things about this case.

http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS

u/PigeonsOnYourBalcony · 2 pointsr/3DS

You can something like this:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_LVEFzb5MSEVWM

There are plenty of other different kinds of games cases to choose from though

u/gameboy00 · 2 pointsr/3DS

Since you do own a lot of physical games and like them, consider this case!

https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1498069243&sr=8-3&keywords=nintendo+3ds+game+case

I just got one it's pretty small and even holds regular DS cartridges

welcome aboard, you have a nice set of games

u/Nephrastar · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Those Hormel Compleats meals. I tried the Turkey and Dressing; I microwaved it, took a whiff, was mildly disgusted... and I took a bite. Worst bite of food I've ever taken, let me tell you. It's like eating matter almost.

In any case, here's the item. Just thinking of those compleats makes my stomach turn.

u/Tizzysawr · 2 pointsr/3DS

I like the HORI ones, like this one. They fit 24 games, have a nice form, and are sturdy enough for what they're meant to do.

u/ayakokiyomizu · 2 pointsr/3DS

I like the Hori game card case, if you're looking for any case and not that one in particular.

u/icravedanger · 2 pointsr/3DS

Nintendo has a lot of "official products" that they don't make, but they license other companies to make. For example, these are official Nintendo game cases too.

http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS

As for the Club Nintendo rewards game cases, they're not available right now. People sell them on eBay for around $20-25.

u/Has_Question · 2 pointsr/Games

I don't know how much bigger it would have been, but it's already pushing portability for a handheld as it is with the Joy-Cons included.

It's not that digital media isn't popular, it's that I don't see the inconvenience of carrying a game seperately when compared to having a lighter slimmer handheld. I keep my 3ds games in one of These and it's worked out very well.

u/earinth · 1 pointr/3DS

If you're planning on getting more games, [this] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004K6LQAS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00) is my favorite way to store them! :) I've tried several, and this one doesn't seem to hold my cartridges tightly enough to damage them.

u/Khirsah01 · 1 pointr/3DS

I have that exact same style for my old NDS (before the 3DS) games. Oh the amount of times I've nearly cut myself on it since none of the sides give much... The old NDS style cases of the same design that I have have the opposite issue where it's hard as balls to get them in, and difficult to get them out without being afraid you're going to snap the gamecard!

If you can't afford to get a different case atm, the only tip I can give is to first slide in the side of the card to the outer side wall under the hook and then try to lever the middle side into the other clip. Hopefully the outer wall of plastic will give just enough to allow you to get the game card in. Just... Don't be a total dingus like me and draw blood on the hook when the card finally snaps in hard...

If you can afford to get a different game case, I heartily recommend the case that u/trippybrii linked: the HORI 24 game card case. That one has MUCH more flexible tabs in the middle so the best way to get the games in and out is to instead angle the game card into the MIDDLE of the page under the hook, then press sideways against the middle of the page into the hook and lever the game in under the outer hook and release. It's much easier to access the games!

u/KalN7 · 1 pointr/3DS

I believe it's this one - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004K6LQAS?cache=198dcc535e585ce1babde1094dc2bf91&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1406081290&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

It's a great case and it does the job. Holds 3DS and DS games securely and they're not difficult to remove. But after seeing those cool club nintendo cases I want one.

And if you're asking about the console case, it's this one - http://mobile.walmart.com/ip/Mario-Universal-Travel-Case-Nintendo-DS-DSi-3DS-3DS-XL-Nintendo-3DS/30914324?type=search

My XL fits pretty snug in it and it holds up to 8 games. I like it, but I'll probably purchase a case that's more plain and less bulky down the road.

u/Zeretha · 1 pointr/3DS

Pretty much any starter kit is just cheap crap. I'd advise you to just spend a little extra and buy quality.

Styli. Basically the only spare bulk pack available at the moment, hence the long shipping wait.

Car charger I would instead buy either a portable power bank and 3DS USB cable or a USB car charger like this and a 3DS USB cable. A power bank would be a good bit more expensive but is really nice to have if you have a lot of electronics you bring with you. Here's a pretty good one.

Great card case holder.

Budget but good carrying cases: 1, 2, 3, 4.

Yes, its more expensive to go this route. But I promise you that you will be happy you did. I bought those crappy starter kits for my GBC, GBA, and DS. The stuff was low quality and generally just doesn't last. I bought stuff for my 3DS similar to what I've linked here and have been much happier with the quality and make

u/warelecmon · 1 pointr/nintendo

I use the Hori case, which holds 24. Fits DS and 3DS and comes with one little piece of plastic that holds an SD card. That's removable though. They have a couple of colors and also make them for Switch games. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004K6LQAS/

u/mishugashu · 1 pointr/3DS

> You could also try just taking one game in the system around rather then all the cartridges.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now, but it sucks when I whip it out and find I had the wrong game in there. I was thinking maybe a separate case that is also pocketable... or I usually have my messenger bag with me, as well, so it could be put in there with ease as well. Just shoving 4 or 5 different 3DS cases in there is not really an option.

I was thinking of getting this: https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/44002.do This way it'll take the place of 1 case, rather than 1 per game, and still be fairly portable.

edit: 10 coins short of the case. :\

double edit: woo, found a game I hadn't registered yet. I think this is definitely a good way to go, considering it's basically free.

triple edit: Orrrr, spend only $10 to get a bigger case and use the coins to buy games and whatnot.... ugh, this is why I posted here in the first place. I just don't know what's good.

u/salvu667 · 1 pointr/3DS

You can get a cartridge case on Amazon for like $10
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416988554&sr=8-1&keywords=3ds+cartridge+case

And a carrying case to put your console in for like $8
http://www.amazon.com/Carrying-Nintendo-DSi-DS-Lite-3DS/dp/B0024X0IHG/ref=sr_1_sc_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416988655&sr=8-3-spell&keywords=3ds+carryingcase

This is what I use. It fits a 3ds xl, game case and a charger in the main compartment. It also has a few zipper pockets that can fit smaller objects like a screen wipe or a few extra stylus.

u/ebudd08 · 1 pointr/gamecollecting

I keep all my DS games in a couple cases like these. I have all the original cases/artwork/manuals/inserts just stored in totes in the basement, but still want easy access to the games.

u/pretenderist · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

I feel like it would be best to get things like this for Switch and this for 3ds and just put it in a generic backpack/messenger bag/purse/whatever.

u/unnamed_elder_entity · 1 pointr/3DS

I don't have a better recommendation than the other link for a collection that large. But I can say, don't buy those 8 or 16 game cases that are available at Best Buy or Target. They're a huge pain in the ass to get the cartridges in and out of. The elastic band type that you slide the cartridge into are much easier to manage. The only snap in type that seems to work well is the official HORI 24 game case. I have a couple of those for storing stuff long term. Games I actively play are in the elastic style holders.

Another advantage of the elastics- they also hold DS and Switch and Vita too.

This one by HORI!
I've had one for four years and it's been really great to me.

It's literally called a 3DS Game Case.

Nintendo 3DS Game Card Case 24 - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3xtYAbVQ3E35B

u/ak4ty7 · 1 pointr/3DS

Looks like I miscounted, I actually have 22.

Unfortuantely, the ones on Club Nintendo are out of stock.

I came across this one on amazon. Its seems like a solid case.

u/bunny_avenger · 1 pointr/3DS

I use a 24 game Hori case for mine. I haven't had any issues with it after about nine months.

u/Krusiv · 1 pointr/MonsterHunter

That is interesting. Since it fits 2 3DSXL, do you think it'll fit a normal 3DS + something like this? That would be very convenient for me.

u/Kenigs · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but there's a HORI game case and they're very durable and a good bang for your buck for storing games.

u/Armeggadon · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

For me, I like having both, digital for games I know I'm going to play for a long time, want to come back to later, or generally just expect to always want to be available (monster hunter, pokemon, probably disgaea) but then carts for everything else. I also never plan on carrying around my switch without a carrying case, and it looks like every case so far has room for several carts, or even a card case. With my 3ds, I have a case that holds 12 game carts and is pretty small, it fits right in the carrying case with my 3ds, so I don't ever have to worry about it. I expect cases like that to come around for the switch as well (the one I use is basically https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS except just 1 row, not 2 but I can't find it anymore) and those fit inside system carrying cases pretty easily
