haha good to know. so, something like this one, or a bigger knife? there are sooo many options from buyolfa.com

If you set your support distance properly, you should be able to remove most, if not all, by just pulling them with needle nose pliers. For anything remaining, just use a hobby knife. I am a fan of this one. You can replace the blades to keep it sharp and blades are pretty cheap. A set of small needle files can also be helpful for cleanup.

My Madworks engraver fits in my Olfa handle.

Some will point you towards getting the tamiya knife, and here's a similar style olfa art knife. Note the replacement blades for the olfa. I also happen to use snap off blades, in addition to xacto and the tamiya knife. I have an olfa one. I happen to not use exacto knives for gundam anymore though. The tamiya model knife and olfa snap off meet my needs just fine due to the angles of cuts I tend to make and angle of the cutting edges of the knives.

And some sand paper, since you included putty.

And lastly, some cheap ass brushes to go along with good paint brushes; decent tooth pics (if you snap it off, the thin layers of wood can be a cheap fine detail brush)... etc.

I'm pretty certain OLFA is the manufacturer for Tamiya knives so you can probably save a few bucks by buying from them instead (see Amazon). I think the hobby knife in particular is important because you'll want something your absolutely comfortable with. They can be very dangerous.

This is the knife I use:

I opted for plastic because I didn't like the cheap aluminum Xacto uses on their handles. I also believe the entire knife (blades and handle) is manufactured in Japan and I trust their manufacturing practices more than others. The blades I ordered over a year ago are still rust free.

no not really. the nippers are ok, the file is solid but depending on ur style might not be used often. and the tweezers are bad. if ur an absolute beginner, then i would honestly go with the Gundam Planet nippers (current promo has free shipping on orders with nippers) theres also the new USAG nippers, but not sure on quality and no free shipping as far as I'm aware. so if you get the GP ones, you can grab a kit or 2 (or 6 lol) to take advantage of the free shipping. the other tool you will need is a hobby knife or exacto blade, u can get exacto blades at most stores or if u want a hobby knife (similar just a smaller blade for better control) and have amazon prime (or start a free trial) you can get this

I've had 3 different hobby knives (all screw types) and all 3 have been slightly loose. Giving the blade room to or in some cases fall out entirely (my shin Musha has a gouge in it from this happening.)

The citadel knife was bought because I ran out of blades for my previous knife and I mistakenly thought they knew modelling knives (they don't ofc, the damn thing is massive, heavy and cheap feeling all at the same time.)

We can't get X-acto here in the without paying through the nose for them. How about this?

I have heard of Olfa before and the blades are easy enough to get hold of.
