Okay because I’m doing the same and have been having trouble getting ammonia up.

Just made a post about it too, my ammonia crashed hard and nitrites also are crashing. But with ghost feeding I can’t get ammonia above .25-.5 ppm. Nitrates are through the roof but that could be decomposition of the dwarf sag that is melting.

Not sure what tank you have or what you’re stocking, but I’m gunna add some snails before I add anything else once everything stabilizes. Should keep the cycle going while I decide exactly what I want. Might not be a bad idea for you if your trying to keep the bacteria alive until Thursday.

Edit: just saw your top level comment, I think a snail might be the way to go to keep the cycle going. I definitely notice algae grows worse from ghost feeding. Don’t forget that if it’s a planted tank, nitrates may never significantly rise. I’m currently on day 7 of my cycle.

All my tanks are considered low tech, but I use liquid and root ferts, and daily excel doses for algae control and increased growth. For small doses, plastic pipettes work fantastic.
