The 8BitDo adapter allows you to use a Wii Remote on Nintendo Switch. Also, here is a video of someone using the Wii Remote and the classic controllers on Nintendo Switch using the adapter.

edit: also is the PDP wired better than the PowerA wired or the HORIwired? Has anyone seen a difference?
Just the basic wired controllers by PDP (other brands available). Controllers don’t have rumble or motion features but a lot cheaper.

Looking at the designs, I'd much prefer that L Luigi design. From the way you're describing the controllers, they're kinda like a low priority controller you keep for Player II, so Luigi is the perfect plate for those kinds of controllers. Also, I like the green.

It's also got two large "paddle" buttons on the back of the grips that you can remap to any other button (no macros). So you can put hard drop on one of those, if you don't like using up on the d-pad, for example.

For the Pro controllers, I've heard issues with input lag on plugged in wireless controllers.
