Have you tried contacting Pebble Support? I mean you waited too long to still be covered under warranty but they still might be nice and send you a replacement charging cable.
Else you could just buy yourself a new cable. They aren't expensive.

You can buy an official charging cable or even a third party cable for a small fraction of the Apple Watch cable price.
In the end is a matter of preference. I've used AW, Fitbit and Pebble and I love my Pebble. I won't go back.
