For smaller games, Plano boxes are considered a really good option by many. You can find cheaper versions in bigbox/craft stores as well, just watch out for the quality of the dividers. Some cheapos just end up falling out.

For bigger games, I've seen a lot of people use rolling suitcases at cons.

I use this plastic tackle box with adjustable dividers for a similar purpose:

It does make it much easier to setup and tear down. It requires more storage space of course, but worth it. Great for Le Havre and Agricola.

Tokens and Dials i keep in Plano 3700 storage boxes that come in various layouts. I also store my ships in these.

Cards i keep in card pages in 3 ring binders.

  • I use this Plano tackle system to store and transport my essential D&D DM stuff. There are lots of cubbyholes that fit 7-dice-sets, including all the individual cubbyholes inside the smaller tackle boxes, which you can buy separately.

  • I have a bunch of cheap Chessex dice bags that I bought at CoolStuffInc along with other gaming supplies. I generally use those to transport dice these days. I used to reserve some compartments in one of the smaller Plano tackle boxes for dice, but then I started using Koplow jumbo dice when I DM, and those won't fit in the Plano tackle box spaces.

  • I use one of these Container Store Multi-Drawer Cabinets (the largest, 44-drawer one) to store and organize dice at home.
