I got this but it was during a sale, which brought it down to 20-30 dollars. It works fine, but I've only used it for L4D2 and a bit of IRC.
I just recently bought the Plantronics GAMECOM 367 and it works really well. Very comfy circumaural headphones. There's also an open-eared version, the 357 which allows more outside sound to come in.
How about this Plantronics headset for $28? It's got pretty good reviews and looks much better than the one you linked in the OP.
These are a pretty good option but if you are willing to spend a little bit more these are way better and much more suited for gaming and an audiophile

Best pair of headsets I've ever had. Cheap, and the quality is just as good as any other headset out there.
