I wouldn't get too excited. Most offices have fun events around the holiday season even if it's just a few drinks, but most won't make this a regular event. If you want some time on the green there is probably an affordable mini golf course close to you. You could also get one of these and keep it under your desk.

After seeing the Potty Putter advertised on television, I'm convinced there's no such thing as a silly idea. So go for it. In California, stores have forced reusable bags onto their customers.
