If you have bad wax buildup, by the time you need to do something about it, H2O2 can't save you. On top of that, you then run the risk of getting liquid caught behind the earwax, suffer short term hearing loss, and increased risk of infection. If you need to do something like this, just go straight for the Debrox, and then consider the curette. Just be careful not to wreck your eardrum.

> SO. moral of the story is, doctors overwhelmingly do not give a shit about the people they are treating. we are a problem for their fancy algorithm machine to figure out, and when the problem confounds the machine, well, they defy the patient in favor of the machine. fuck that.

Very, very well said. Thanks for the share, it's a good one. Wanna know what helped my ears more than anything ever ever? This. The only issue I've had in the almost year since getting that (for $2 more, wtf) was scraping too hard and drawing blood. I tempered my style and now my ears are the least of my concerns-- well, except for the twice or more a day I clean my ears. :D

Do you wear headphones? In ear headphones? o_O I've decided they are generally nasty in life, personally. I have some over ear ones I wear if I must, but headphones used to give me terrible ear issues, twice (thrice?) ending up at a clinic to have my ears flushed.

The ears are a conduit for the body to dispel toxins, same as the sinuses and skin and and and.... To help them do this is to be healthier, same as blowing your nose when something wants out there. A little bit of daily care has gone a very long way for my ears-- and I use them a lot. More than most people understand ears can even be used, I think.

> also everytime I go they tell me I am overdue for my flu vaccine, my pneumonia vaccine, tetanus, hpv. everytime I tell them I want to wait till I am better before getting any vaccines (the logic being that I am already sick when I walk in, and the vaccines give you the virus, right?)

Nice. I tell them "I have a sensitive system and don't need the complications." So far, they never have an argument for this. I also say (TO ANYONE) that I have never had a flu vaccine, don't even get the flu anymore, so it seems a really dumb time to start trying them, especially when I've watched the people in my immediate life get sick as can be after accepting them (for the last time). Cuz I can't just say "Fuck that." Need more words.

And yep, they always manage to note what i declined, but can't seem to keep up with the doctors they referred me to-- two years after I finally got the Crohn's diagnosis, I realized they still didn't know this at my PCP. Da fuq. There's two clinics I can get as my PCP in this city and they both suck, but one makes you wait 1 hour and the other makes you wait 3. Hellspittals.

> the whole system just screams dysfunction to me.

It's badly broken, and with purpose. I'll say more about this in the series....
