I might take it apart and change the drive over to a 4TB drive too, not sure. Paid for 1 day shipping too! Arriving tomorrow.

False. Every store you've ever entered has filmed you. Did you consent? Pack it up, camera companies, security cameras are illegal.

You could try to drop the framerate on the cameras to like 10fps and see if that makes a difference. But 4 1080p cameras streaming constantly at 30fps on wifi is never going to work well.

He was lying...but no single wifi router can handle that nicely. you would need to spread the load out across multiple wireless APs. This is why you are ALWAYS better going with wired cameras (PoE) is idea.

Since you already have BlueIris and the PC, you may look into some cheap outdoor wired cameras such as Reolink. You can get outdoor rated PoE cameras for ~$60: https://smile.amazon.com/Reolink-Security-Megapixels-2560x1440-Detection/dp/B01B4BKJOK/

I have used a Reolink camera for over a year now without any issues, connected outdoor via POE. They have a free app, and also you can use their client software running on a local PC in order to record by motion or schedule. Or you can use an open source program like iSpy. It's working out well. They're cheap on Amazon too.

this.

I have an IP cam and a basic audio monitor.

audio monitor lets us or anyone watching the baby listen from a distance(ex downstairs or out on the deck). Also easy to pack up and travel with for vacation. must have. even if baby is in the next room the amplification helps wake you when you are tired. I have this one

IP cam lets us check in on the little one to see if we do need to go into the room to help. Also useful to monitor them to see when they do finally settle down to sleep. Let's the grandparents check in on baby remotely as well. I have this one in the corner of the ceiling. I have one admin account for me, then a guest account for the wife and grandparents. I will be looking into rolling my own solution for viewing the live feed soon, but their app works good.

A video baby monitor is an all in one solution. I passed because each unit I looked at seemed to lack something. Plus that was another device to keep track of and keep charged. I can use any device to view the feed from an IP cam. IP cam will not become obsolete once the baby grows up either.

edit- I use an old android phone as a white noise machine for baby, if you plan on going that route.
