For a number of years, I got by in my apartment with a few trash cans that use grocery bags as liners. I never wanted anything larger in the apartment because it would be more prone to getting old enough to smell and buying liners to throw trash away seemed like a logical failure. It was only about a half year after the bag ban was enacted that I actually bought trash bags in Seattle. Thanks City Council.

They outright banned them in my city. Recycled paper bags cost 5 cents.
