I decided I didn't want a fanny pack or an armband. I suppose this is close to a fanny pack, but uses magnets to hold itself on, so no waist buckle. I didn't know these existed. Should be a good solution for when I don't want pockets, including when weightlifting. Even when I do have pockets, the front of my leg is a bad place for a phone this large. Only downside I can see (before I actually use it) is that I can't use it with bike bib shorts. But I usually prefer using jersey pockets when I'm decked out like that.
