The guy who does Active Self Protection's videos posted this on Amazon. It is an aerosol pepper spray grenade. If you're really worried about shit like this happening, or some sort of social unrest, or whatever, buy one and stick it in your briefcase.
Thermal goggles and gunsights are going to be much cheaper and have more investment rather than mixed gen 2-3 nightvision with thermal highlights. LPT: bats are slow weapons and are too long for the confined space of a home. if you're not strong enough to swing a bat faster than someone can take a single step outside of the bats effective range then you shouldn't be using it (everyone). ether buy/use a actual weapon that is designed to be used on people if you know how to use it, or hold your breath and close your eyes and use a pepper spray bomb since you probably have your home memorized better than someone who just broke in
