I can see that there aren't many links to the Hero 6 Black, is this because it's not the recommended camera?
I was thinking about buying a H6B for scubadiving and parachuting, and actually came here to ask for help with the SD-card. (I know there is a post about it, but I couldn't find any information regarding H6B and 128GB cards) I was thinking this one and an underwater housing with red filter. Also the Shorty or the Handler.
Would this cover my bases?
You can avoid the slowdown issue by not just buying the cheapest possible SD card (not accusing you, it's just been my experience that that is what most people do, buy the cheapest card in the size they want). There are newer, faster cards that are specifically designed for running apps off of...the newest ones are listed as "A1", but there are sufficiently fast cards before that standard was complete. I have a Samsung card that gets 60MB/s write speed (real world, not benchmark) in my phone, significantly faster than the internal eMMC storage will write.
