I have a lot of missed stitches when I use a regular twin needle with stretchy fabric. Have you tried using a ballpoint twin needle? If not, I would try that - Schmetz makes a 2.5 and a 4 (they call it a stretch twin needle) and I buy mine on Amazon: Schmetz 2.5 Stretch Double Needle - you can search for the 4.0 on Amazon, too, if that's what you need :)
