I'm really interested in the BBSHD and I went to lunacycle to check it out and there's so many addons and whatnot what do I actually need and what would just be icing on the cake?

What does the bottom bracket size do? There's standard, fat and extra fat, it it like standard for a normal bike and fat for a fat bike? And furthering this question what are the advantages/disadvantages of a fat bike vs. a normal bike?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of a steel chain ring vs an aluminum chain ring?
What are gear sensors for and do I need one?
What battery should I get, I want the longest lasting so that would be the one with the highest amp-hours, not the highest voltage?
