I have a 2015 MacBook Air; the RAM memory is soldered on, but the SSD is replaceable. Yeah, they speak standard SATA/AHCI/NVMe but they use a custom connector type. It's how they lock you into using Apple storage only (thanks Apple!)
Edit: If anyone reading is interested in upgrading their MacBook with a larger non-Apple SSD I've had really good success with these adapters and a variety of NVMe drives. Basically everything you need is in this thread, there are some caveats w.r.t. system firmware updates with a non-Apple drive so read carefully. A quick shout out to the best low cost NVMe drive I've used too. Total cost to upgrade from a 120GB Apple SATA SSD in my SO's 2015 MBP to a 480GB NVMe drive was like $115 and the drive is something absurd like 8x faster.
First you shouldn’t buy that SSD. All it is is an adapter put on a NVME m.2 SSD. Instead buy each part separately and save ~$100

You can throw in a larger SSD. You can use a $15 adapter so you can use any nvme pcie ssd just have to make sure your on high Sierra first.

But technically any should work as they are just merely a passive adaptor ( the adaptor literally just change the connector type)

If you get one of these adapters it should work good enough (some issues with sleep I believe, and there's a different one for a couple bucks cheaper with less reviews)

You can't upgrade the RAM in a 2013 retina MBP, it's soldiered on. You should probably find one with 8GB. This is incorrect information. Since Mojave, you can install and boot macOS on any M.2 drive provided you have the correct adapter. Something like this.
I’d recommend staying away from OWC hardware as they are extremely overpriced, and made with cheap components that tend to fail.
Not sure, but look at options on the HD adapter. Not sure why that one shows $250 when it's the same as this for $15:
