I bought a cord off amazon that connects to an HDMI port. I also needed to get an adapter. The two things together cost like $32 and work like a charm.

*Edited to correctly add prices of something that costs $12 with something that costs $20. wow, mornings.
This is pretty much any MHL adapter cable and any screen that will take a video input. Not really revolutionary and been around a long time. I have a "cheater box" that allows video on my nav screen and have been using this type of cable for years in my escalade

This also does not do anything to the touchscreen. Give me an adapter that will allow the touchscreen of the car to work on the phone, and THAN you can SUATMM
that $100 is only if you have a non MHL compliant device, if you do have one, you can get a cable that lets you plug it into any device
for example, pretty much any samsung android device ever (i own a GS3 myself, and i can get this cheap $11 cable and boom, my phone screen is now on my TV: http://www.amazon.com/Skiva-MediaFlow-Supports-Samsung-Optimus/dp/B009LAZG2M/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1452729100&sr=8-6&keywords=android+hdmi+cable)
also pro-tip, the guy you are replying to is talking about an HDMI PC, like an intel compute stick type deal, but with android and an arm cpu and all that instead of intel cpu and windows
like this for example:

or if your TV or a device connected to your tv supports miracast (in my case that's the xbone) you can just cast your entire screen wirelessly to your tv FREE (assuming you already have a tv that supports miracast or a device connected that does, but even if you don't have a tv or device connected to tv that supports miracast, you can get a cheap miracast hdmi dongle for that as well, for example: http://www.amazon.com/ERISAN-Updated-Wireless-Streaming-Miracast/dp/B00TO99QEO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1452729535&sr=8-5&keywords=miracast+hdmi+dongle)
a bit of googling would have told you this as well
I use this one on my htc one, it works perfectly.
