Honestly earbuds with a mic do the trick. You can get a decent pair for 20$ unless you are really wanting to spend a lot. I personally have 3 different ones I use. Edit: just make sure you have the right phone in the right ear and left in the left. I accidentally had them switched and I was so confused lmao. I would hear steps on my left ear so I would look left but they were actually on my right because my right earphone was in my left ear. Hahaha.
I have a basic pair of earplugs designed to be used at gun ranges (filtered hearing) as well as a pair of Skullcandy earbuds I use for listening to music (designed for working out so they handle the helmet well).
The surefire ones are foam plugs and mitigate a lot of high end noise while the earbuds are intra-aural and seal out noise fairly well.
Have you ever tried headphones that have replaceable/adjustable ear buds?

Have had no complaints about the mic audio from my friends I play with. Earbud sound is pretty great too.

This is the model I have. (sorry I don't know hot to hyperlink, I use the mobile version of Reddit). The one you chose should be fine but take my word for it and get your own set of headphones. Those won't last you too long.
