Your story doesn't seem to add up? Retails for $85 Canadian? Amazon has it for $370 and in the US it is retailing for about $200

Doesn't seem Freedom is doing anything incorrectly based on their website. You can't really blame them for not doing your research. It's like if I blame Nissan/Chrysler for buying a vehicle at MSRP when they openly offer thousands and thousands of dollars of discounts

are you with Fi because of a particular reason (such as multicarrier support, or international calling, or datasim, etc)? if you like those features, you might need to suck it up and stay with FI, with or without purchase of their phones.

if not, you could buy a great phone for around $200 and use it with /r/mintsim.

I recommend the Sony Xperia XA for $200.

The Xperia X for $300 is worlds better.

Sony Xperia X is your best choice if the price of the Pixel or S7 is too high.

Not sure how much you can get a G5 plus for, as others have suggested for, but the Sony Xperia X just got a price drop in the US to $215, Amazon and B&H.

I've been trying to decide between the two phones (in the UK) but have been put off the G5 plus due to people saying Motorola are very slow to update their phones.

Edit: Whoops, didn't realise it had an affiliate link to Amazon. I got the link from Android Police. I've updated it now.

I bought this Sony from Amazon and installed Sailfishos on it without issue.
