I am going to assume you were genuinely trying to be helpful, but it's hard to tell because you did not actually say anything except for post a link. There are a few things about this link:

1. It assumes she does not know about the existence of the print screen key.

3. This doesn't say what she should do AFTER hitting the print screen key.
   
4. The link doesn't help her with what she asked about, which is the most important part here, IMO.
   
   If you wanted to be helpful (which, why wouldn't you want to be helpful here?), you could have said something like this instead:

Depending how much space you have, you could buy a small monitor, a tiny keyboard and trackball to have a troubleshooting console inside your computer.
