actually, just ordered a second on Amazon for delivery tomorrow. At least I'll be able to check 2 drives across both laptops at the same time now.
I had looked into this a while back for the same type of cable for my T470 and the following cables can provide 10Gbps speeds, of course the limiting factor being the laptop, drives, etc. I decided to go with an NVME drive, so they will not work for me as I need a different connector, and so I am going to image the drive instead. The following cables come with either a USB 3.1 or USB-C connector, depending on which one you prefer, and have very good reviews.
