The sto n sho holder seems like a much better option, that's what I'm going to install.

There is a 3rd party mounting bracket that avoids gluing the plate to the front. The down side to the bracket is that it mounts far lower that the "standard" position. If you hit a dip too hard (like the entrance to your driveway perhaps), the plate sometimes scraps slightly. It tells you to go over that dip (or bump) a bit slower so as not to compress the suspension too far.

I tried that for a while and got a ticket when I got pulled over for speeding. The ticket was dismissed after I showed evidence of installing it. Although they said that it still shows as a warning on my record so if I get pulled over for it again then I can't dismiss it.

I decided to go with a "Sto n Sho" link so that I can keep it hidden 99% of the time. It wasn't as bad to install as it looks, but I had a lift to easily get under it.

All that being said, I'd wait until you get a ticket to install anything. It really ruins the aesthetic in my opinion. At least in Texas.
